Drake presented his new collection for Fall / Winter 2017, with his lookbook conveniently located in the windswept terrain of the Shetland Islands.
The surrounding landscape of the Shetland Islands works
alongside the collection to complement its colors and textures, and is also the
environment that houses many of the raw materials used by Drake.

Rich, wintery fabrics are paired with fitted silhouettes
throughout the collection,
including soft shoulder jackets handcrafted in Italy with
tactile Harris tweeds, featured alongside corduroy shorts and soft flannel.
With an emphasis on color and texture, Donegal's brushed and shaggy Shetland
sweaters and knitted beanies appear in unexpected hues, providing a vibrant
alternative to the usual earthy colors of the winter palette.
With rich brushed Shetland knits and tough Harris tweed
fabrics,
the collection is a celebration of the outdoors. However, it
is not only a collection for the country, but also for the city. Silhouettes of
Italian-made clothing also allow you to retain a sense of the metropolitan
urban environment.
Founded in 1977 by Michael Drake,
Drake's is a British
menswear brand based in East London, and the firm's clothing is its shirts,
ties and pocket squares. The company's original collection in 1977 consisted of
men's scarves, although the brand soon spread to the ties and pocket squares
for which they are now best known.
With a history of collaborating with brands such as Fred
Perry and Private White VC,
Drake's opened its first retail store in 2011, located
between Savile Row and Bond Street in London, an area famous for its history of
bespoke tailoring.
